Nick learns about the secret affair between Simon and Karen. Patrick vows to Ellen that he will always remain truthful to her and then talks to Carmelita on the phone and comes to know that she is being followed. Tripp meets Brian and tells him that he knows that he is not his son and later Brian finds himself jobless after the ministry suspends him.
Karen refuses to attend the upcoming Nutcracker event. Brian has a discussion with Letitia regarding his future. Later, he also meets Tripp. Lisa helps Jeremy in impressing Sofia with his paintings. Karen meets Simon’s ex-wife at his home and Lisa loses her job after she takes weed at the gallery with Jeremy. Brian’s decisions to work for Tripp, makes the latter feel proud and he welcomes him to the enterprise.
Jeremy tells Sofia the truth of his identity and this upsets Sofia who leaves Jeremy thinking that he deceived her. Later, Lisa tells Nick about losing her job and also tells him that she wants to have another baby. As the episode ends, Karen tells her father, that things are going according to plan and that she is not falling in love with Simon Elder.
