Nick plans to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with his family but his plans are ruined when Tripp asks him to fix a meeting with Simon, so the two can have a face-to-face talk. Nick also arranges a meeting between Brian and Andrea about the custody of Brian Jr. besides organizing a meeting between Ellen and Carmelita. He then convinces Lisa to accompany him to the country house over the weekend.
Sofia agrees to go on a date with Jeremy after he helps her. Meanwhile, the meeting between Tripp, Simon and Patrick does not go well, when Tripp verbally assaults Simon and Patrick lashes out at his father in anger before walking out of the meeting. Leticia instigates Lisa against Nick which results in Lisa having a fight with Nick before leaving the house.
Jeremy has great fun on his date with Sofia while Brian prays for his son. Patrick goes back to his wife after a brief visit to Carmelita, and ends up being shot in the leg by Ellen. Nick then tries to cover up the incident by lying to the press. Later, Nick has a talk with Tripp and as the episode ends, Nick and Lisa reconcile.
